Just got through that battle myself. Wasn't too tough, but I did have to make sure to strat ahead of time. Can't rush into these things. I also like how you can replay story missions to earn missed Brave points. Nice not to have to stress over knocking them all out in one play.

Yea having the game tell me that I could retry any mission again to "perfect" it over time saved me a ton of worrying, since I tend to want to try and perfect every mission in case I missed out on something I could've otherwise gotten.

Which reminds me, do brave point objectives carry over onto newgame+? I think i remember vic answering what all carried over, and I think brave points were mentioned, but I can't remember if the objectives themselves are. If the objectives are carried over, then there's a total limit you can ever obtain; if they're not carried over then you can just "farm" the points by quickly powering through on repeated playthroughs and doing the easiest objectives for every mission. Although I don't know what the value of doing that would be...

The battle progression is definitely designed to get you to think about and try specific concepts to win them (and then obliterate them on replays going for all the brave conditions)

Brave completions don't carry over to new game+, they just stick within the current playthrough.

I chose Spinel... so far I have found that trying to hope for two enemies to line up... is frustrating.

Wow, that sucks. Does it throw an error immediately on starting?

So, you mentioned that sony "compressed" the iso. I'm guessing that involved shredding the quality of every texture in the game (especially the gallery) using reduced color png/gif? Since the japanese version of the game doesn't have that cross-hatched "pattern" dithering on literally everything. I was originally wondering why everything looked so "low-res" when it was supposed to look great on the vita, and just chalked it up as "well it's a PSP game"; but nope it's actually the compression they did.

Example of a portion of the japanese gallery 001
Same portion, but the downloadable english copy (probably easiest to look at the top & bottom-left of the left dress in this picture, or that guy's pant-leg in the background, because of the additional webcam dithering)

I wish the vita would let you take screenshots of PSP games so it would be easier to compare~. If you have the downloaded copy, just open up the gallery, look at image 1, then move to the bottom left and zoom in all the way.

At least the physical version shouldn't have this problem, but honestly i'd rather have a larger file and nice looking images instead of these compressed ones and a smaller file! Although I doubt much can be done about it now.
