Summon Night 5 Help thread

Update: I kept going with my game and by late chapter 3 or 4, I was still unable to get around the Acquire Skill bug without going back to chapter 2 or so.
I had messed up on a few things, such as exp distribution and money usage, so I decided to restart from the beginning. (Thank you, R+x fast-forwarding)
I attempted to Acquire Skill as early as the game would let me (with Arca) and I didn't run into the bug at all.
Since I played with the crash bug quite a bit during chapters 3 and 4, I've somewhat concluded that, rather than simply getting a "good" character, the way around the bug is to have a "new face in the party" character

read this game was supposed to come out us/eu on 15/12/2015

on that day i went to us psn store, game is there, I logged in to eu store (im from eu), no game page, no mention of game in "coming soon" page

????
once again, what gives ?

The skill bug seems to be fixed for good for me. I initiated chapter 4's event battle and used Cyda to get past the tutorial prompt.

Yeah, if you get it, once you get past it, it seems to rarely come back.

Ish. We still have to get it approved by SCEE and slotted for the store. But things are moving forward for EU, so that's good.

I need a little help with the Chapter 3 "Bandit Brigade" battle. I don't think i grinded enough prior to the battle (My characters are 2-3 lvls under the enemies) and i can't retreat from the battle...so i think I'm stuck lol.

The best advice I can offer is to take it slow and try to slowly lure enemies to you. Don't move too far each turn, and the enemies should slowly move to you. Also save direct attacks for finishers, since most enemies counter attack and you'll need to avoid any extra damage.

Most of those guys also don't have or often use range attacks, so using guns and throwing knives works wonders, or spells/techniques if you feel it's worth it.

Edit: I might be confused about the battle name, so ignore that if it doesn't seem applicable.

I usually take the "low road" down the stairs and then to the left toward the target. I also have Yeng-hua and Abert switched to their long-range weapons (gun/throwing knives) so I'm never close enough for the enemies to counterattack me. I also have all the character wait states set to Counterattack, where possible. That way, if they get hit from front side or back, I have a chance of a free counterattack. Who is your cross? Spinel is helpful on this one because she has a heal ability. Have you upgraded any of your weapons at the blacksmith yet?

Note that there's a potential Summon Cluster get in the upper left corner of the battle, on the crates. Defeat that and it becomes a Summon Cluster member.
