Class of Heroes 2 - Who's in Your Party?

I'm still trying to get a good party together. I re-rolled my characters until getting at least 30-40 bonus points and I'm trying to keep affinity in-check with semi-compatible races. It's a bit tough to keep the alignment similar if you want a few of the advanced classes.

Here's what I am using at the moment:

Human / Warrior / Good: Hoping to advance to another fighting class later, such as a berserker.
Felpur / Samurai / Good: Seemed to be a good fit for a samurai.
Human / Ninja / Evil: It's a ninja. Gotta have one of those.
Khulaz / Puppeteer / Neutral: Maybe I can upgrade to a geomancer?
Fairy / Sorcerer / Neutral: Probably try to upgrade to a sage.
Celestian / Sorcer / Evil: Hoping to upgrade to a fallen angel.

What is everyone else using, and why?

I decided to stack 3 sorcerers because melee classes are too frustrating without good equipment. So I ended up with:

    1. Edith: human monk, neutral
    2. Liesel: bahamun warrior, good
    3. Ping: gnome ranger, neutral
    4. Sasha: diablo sorc, neutral
    5. Arifa: fairy sorc, good
    6. Hannah: celestian sorc, good

Since I don't have a PSP yet (and I am awful at party balancing anyway lols), a lot of my class putting together-ness is kind of a mix between guessing what I think would work and the looks of the characters lol I am also trying to not have 2 characters of the same class because variety or something :V (and not have the compatibility too bad...)

Yeah some of these are adv. classes, but since I don't really know how difficult it is to get those, I'm just ignoring that for now... (I just assume that it's not too difficult to change classes later?)
But anyways, here's my plan so far (all are either neutral or good... not sure how to decide which is what?):

gnome/idol -because hair colour is awesome...?
fairy/ranger - there seems to be a lot of traps and I assume that's what rangers are good for...
celestian/sorcerer - I like the celestians <3 (and I guessed they were good at magic)
khulaz/puppeteer - I'm not really sure if puppeteers are any good? (mostly picked because khulazs are adorable)
dwarf/samurai - needed some melee type?
    elf/fighter - same as above

So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if this combination was horrible since it's mostly based on guesses and assumptions YAY

I'm with you on the magic user thing. I've found that, especially early on, the spells are necessary but there just isn't enough MP for one mage to handle the burden. More often than not though, my spellcasters are having to defend to save magic. I'm slowly finding more weapons and this seems to help my fighters in the front to do some serious damage, but there are times where the fireball spell is absolutely essential.

Celestians are good at divine magic but not arcane magic, because of their stats. Gnome is the race that's good at both, except they can choose magic majors in this game.

Diablos probably have the best stats for magic in general.

Let's see, my team so far...

    Verk- Bahamun Monk
Lina- Felpur Warrior (kinda based 'er off of Katt from BoF2)
    Ikaros- Celestian Samurai
    Mac- Human Ranger
Pixie- Fairy Novice (Don't blame me for the name! I'm also a Monster Rancher fan)
    Rika- Elf Sorcerer (PS IV)

Yeah, magic is a life saver here... fortunately, I've been able to run from most battles when MP gets low for Rika. So far.

Can a Celestian not be a fallen angel? It doesn't explicitly say, but I'd guess that it would. Only certain races seem to be able to do certain classes, it would seem.

It took about an hour or two, but my melee characters were able to find decent weapons with a bit of searching and alchemy. But, yeah, you'll be doing a lot of 1 HP attacks until you find new weapons. Then they will be regularly 30 HP of damage after a bit of searching and grinding.

Melee is working wonders for me so far I suppose it's because my crew uses it plenty lol

    Terra - Human/F/Warrior/Neutral
    Raster -Bahamun/M/Monk/Evil
    Mika - Khulaz/F/Ranger/Neutral
    Mantra - Diablos/F/Puppeteer/Neutral
    Nyami - Felpur/F/Idol/Good
    Lyana - Fairy/F/Sorcerer/Neutral

My team has yet to fail me yet, excellent affinity, and they complement each other superbly. Still not sure what classes to upgrade them to.
