    The Backlog is Real

I've made mention of this before, and those who know me from other forums know that my backlog is substansial ranging from 8-bit all the way to today. Last time I bothered to try to count (because someone wanted a number) it was around 2815 games... probably 2900 by now, so I think it's safe to say I'll die before it's completed...

How big is your backlog? What goodies do you have in it that you're most looking forward to next?

I've decided my next tackle (after Lord of Magna and Trails in the Sky are finished) is between Final Fantasy 2 (via PS1 classics on PS3... FINALLY), Knack, Rune Factory Tides of Destiny and Skies of Arcadia

You might wanna organize it to see which are most important to you. Quality over quantity and all of that.

Maybe shave off a few (hundred), while you're at it.

There are a lot from the SNES/PS1 grouping (1,000 or so). GB/GBA/DS/3DS has about 700 by itself. Not trying to play everything in existance lol... MANY games I missed out on when I was a kid because well, poor. So now that I'm an adult I've been trying to make up for the ones I've missed. Have knocked out about 400 or so since 2005....

Most games people talk about being some of the greats I've either never played or barely played. Plan to finally play Lunar sometime after tax return comes back.

Everything I have now was mostly acquired over the past few years. It's only a few hundred games (50ish per console/handheld I've been focusing on, outside of my Vita collection that is the newest . . . but that's daunting enough for me). I can't see myself ever wanting/owning more than 100 games for any system.

I've gotten VERY lucky with some yard sales over the years, as well as a retro store back in Maryland where I used to live closing and practically GIVING their stock away. Truthfully a good portion of that was games I didn't want and went on E-Bay, which let me buy games I did... oh but how much some of them would be worth now just makes me sick I couldn't have forced myself to hold onto them about 6 years longer....

Give those games (PS1 and Sega CD) priority.

Wow..... That sounds impressive to see. Mine is not that large but I rather not add it all up.

I'd certainly suggest playing any WD games you have.

Actually play games or gtfo I say. Zborg has a kid and a full time job and doesn't post about his "backlog". This is one of the more asinine things associated with the hobby lately.

Oh and you can't play every game, nor should you want to for that matter. Cut the chaff.

Edit: It's not my intention to scare you off or w/e, but it seems like every post you've made has been centered around your "backlog" (particularly unneeded in your post in the Yoru no Nai Kuni thread).
