Not super detailed, but it also doesn't look like a straight rpgmaker game either. Will look at this when I get home.

Cosmic Star Heroine looks promising. I don't know what typical generic homebrew JRPGs look like because I have no interest in finding out, but I imagine it would be something like this.

Channeling Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest cuteness in the best possible way.

I always thought that game looked horrible, so that makes sense.

I put up a review for the demo this morning, and yes, it's very much a new Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.

Hahaha, I just saw your post about this on Facebook and was going to link it on this thread as well.

I was pretty skeptical initially of this, but your review seems to cover the high and low points of it pretty well. I will keep it on my radar at least at this point.

Yeah I filed this under buy if it gets put on GOG when it gets put on sale for $10 or less.

Yeah when I first saw the project announcement I was worried it was going to be another RPG Maker thing. But then I saw the screens - almost didn't play it at all because the demo page was giving me grief. But it was a fun 2 hours, I think $15 is more than fair for the full game.
