I think it'll take me more to buy it unless they fix that stupid 9+GB patch they did. Give me two discs with all the crap and I'll buy at $20.

Patch sizes are absurd these days. 9GB...thats about the size of Skyrim on last gen consoles. There's no excuse for patches that big unless you're replacing all the game assets with higher quality ones.

large patches mean for every 3GB of data, it fixes 1GB of actual code for the game. The rest is pre-rendered cutscenes.

IV is my favorite game in the franchise, even though VI is technically a better game. I love them both for different reasons.
I completely agree with you. Something about the characters in IV just resonated with me so strongly. And the music. I probably play that game once a year. After Years.... meh.

I remember when this showed up for the DS version and I was all hyped about it. Truly a nice game, maybe I should play it again.

That is my least favorite version of the game. Character models drive me crazy, so inferior to the SNES pixels. Was cool to get some of the cut story back though, it did certainly have its merits.

Oh yeah, the chibi stuff can't hold a candle to the SNES presentation, but that trailer (the intro for the game) was epic for me at the moment.

Oh for sure, it was really cool to have some nice cutscenes for IV.

I'm kinda sad I wasn't able to enjoy the off topic dust-up I created other than I took too long to reply to this

So SE is apparently doing a in-game event for FF15 that will only work for a short time: http://gematsu.com/2017/01/final-fan...ins-january-24

Why would you ever limit something like this for a single player game? I can see it auto-activating like with XMAS Nights, but requiring a patch to turn it on for a set amount of time just seems stupid.
