I used to be a hardcore FF Fanboy, but man, it lost its magic. World of Final Fantasy is pretty fun tho. I kind of think they largely lost what made them special when Sakaguchi left.

Seeing 15 in action, the game actually looks fun. But not like Final Fantasy.

Never cared too much for The After Years, though. I started playing it on the Wii and never continued.

After Years isn't all that entertaining, though I only played a few chapters before giving up on that BS on Wii. I might try it again on the PSP version. I think it's included.

IV is my favorite game in the franchise, even though VI is technically a better game. I love them both for different reasons.

And 5, I do include that. Let me see if I can list the order of my favorite FFs. Starting with my favorite:

5, 6, 4, 3, 1, 2, 9, 12, 7, 10-2, 10, 13-2, 8, 13.

Tactics would fall between 12 and 7, TAY is between 4 and 3. I don't play MMOs, so 11 and 14 are unranked, as is 15 which is unplayed to date. (Early video impressions put it around 10 on my list, though...)

I think going with a more realistic style was a big mistake;
A large part of what made FF7 so great was its occasional quirkiness and humor, and I just don't think that can come across anywhere near as well with a more realistic aesthetic. Graphically the FFVII remake looks good but the thought of it being an action rpg plus being in 3 or more parts

Nobuo Uematsu no longer doing the music for the series is also disappointing

my brother bought ff15 it sucks and im starting to wonder if this series was ever really good

FF doesn't have fan boys anymore, just trolls defend it now.

i'm not a fanboy & i don't think i'm a troll but i bought ff xv & i'm really enjoying it. can't take it too seriously. i don't take any video game too seriously though.

Don't know if I'll end up trying it. Maybe if I grab it for $5 at some point. I never was into FF at all though.
