My favorite is the Phantasy Star Universe spinoff/series, because I feel it has the most developed story, but PSO is such a fun jrpg that can actually be played coop, and this is a very rare treat in what is basically a solo ride genre. I prefer single player, but coop unlike multi player to me has always been fun because it takes the campaign nature of single player and lets you enjoy it with friends versus multi player which always revolves around killing each other or stealing a flag.
Yeah, I settle for a physical copy of the last part of PSU which was digital only even in Japan.
Nice was able to pick up a Take Your Heart edition at gamestop today. I thought I would have to drive around a bit, but my local gamestop had 3 copies that hadn't been picked up. I did not realize how huge it is, and its pretty awkward in shape as well. Ill get a regular copy to play, but im thinking of also picking up a ps3 copy just for collection. But I will wait until the inevitable price drop before I pick up copies to play.

honestly if opening something new didn't cuts its value in half or less, Id just play the new copy, actually unless its a ce i usually try to go for used so I can actually play it.
But for the record hoarder and collector are not synonymous, unless we are talking about dragons.
My first RPGs were Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy on the NES. Final Fantasy was the first video game I ever bought on launch day without having a chance to play it first. I had seen all the preview stuff in Nintendo Power after having played Dragon Warrior and enjoying it. Been really into the JRPG genre since.
There is to some degree first game bias. FF8 was the first final fantasy I played and its my favorite. Suikoden III was also the first one I played, but I love every game in that series even IV. Parasite Eve 2 was probably the first horror game I played either that or Galerians, which is still one of the most depressing and hardest games of all time. Galerians is such an overlooked gem.
