No I kept 95% of it to put into my collection.
Even Half Price Books, Amazon, Best Buy, etc., you're not supposed to resell merchandise as you already get it at a discount (employee discounts)

Truth be told: 100% profit is not a whole lot in storino03's case, since he buys everything at $3 max. We're probably talking 10,000+ % profit here though.

And yeah, retail for 3 years.
Shop Policy is generally 30min on the sales flloor. Other regions vary, as some are as much as 2 days to 1 week of waiting for employee purchases. We do have other Outlet stores that you pay by the weight of an item, but those are generally discarded merchandise from other traditional Goodwill stores that don't sell.
I have never been to one, although there is a few up north. Only seen them in action on Youtube.

Target donates a lot to Goodwill stores nationwide. The merchandise is usually open box items that are returns (maybe defective cosmetic only) or exchanges that the store cannot put back on the shelves so they get donated to Goodwill. They aren't free donations as they have to be purchased--one thing that people overlook.
Donations aren't really "free". Sure people drop stuff off, but sometimes you get junk, like utter trash such as candy wrappers, garbage bags, old food takeout (with food still inside), dead rats, spiders, sex toys, pornography, etc. Majority of the items are from deceased people and estate sales usually indicated by large uhaul trucks that arrive. The free donations part is also going towards the workers cleaning, testing, sorting through all the junk that comes in to find that one item out of dozens that can be priced.
It is a business at the forefront. Each store has to make a profit.
We don't sell computers at all, which sucked because there were a lot of expensive older ones that came in, like an Apple Macintosh Classic II which goes for quite a bit of change. Laptops, iPads, tablets, Kindles, etc all go in there too. It all gets donated to Dell for recycling.

My best find? Musha and Shining Force cartridges for $.75 cents each after my discount. I wasn't even working when they were priced so it was a nice find.
