    Scalebound... Holy ****

Just started watching the gameplay demo from Gamescon and this game looks amazing. Looks like it turned out as an ARPG. I was already interested, but this video has me more than sold.

edit: IGN has released an extended video and it seems the video quality is a little better.

The animations of the main character look surprisingly stiff for a current gen game. I guess they can fix that still though.

Also, what's with the headphones? Looks completely out of place.

Reminds me of Drakengard, which isn't a bad thing. Probably will be repetitive gameplay and bland envirionments.

There YOU go ... I don't have an Xbox and don't have any intentions of getting One.

Honestly it looks like a FF game to me, so could be good or bad.

I was filling in the details (for others) because I had no idea what platform Scalebound was on before clicking on the Youtube links. I also don't plan on an Xbox One for many years. PS4 is my next console purchase in the next year.

Platinum Games is like the only Japanese developer that continues to really wow me. They are probably the only one left that seems to be able to push tech and keep games fun. Some people think it looks like Drakengard, maybe repetitive. But where Platinum always wins is in slick gameplay mechanics and graphics. There isn't a game I haven't liked from Platinum, even to a limited degree. My least favorite is probably Mad World, but it's not a terrible game. Not to mention that they worked on Infinite Space with Nude Maker.

Speaking of Platinum, I got MGS Revengence for only a few bucks last week, sealed.

Hideki Kamiya is directing this. Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, RE2. Seriously. Not sure how anyone would have any doubt that this might even be a B+ title or better. I'd love to play this game but I won't buy an XBone until they hit the bargain bin in many years.

I love Platinum Games. I'm so glad that they are working on Nier 2. Fitting that they are working on a Drakengard-type game, I guess. Obviously not as crazy weird though.

Didn't even know it was being made by Platinum Games, but that explains why it looks so good.
