Being too spoiled by starting with NES prevents me from being able to enjoy text only games and it bums me out.

I started with an NES and I enjoyed the hell out of the Kings Quest games except VIII because my computer couldn't handle it

I'd like to see Shadowgate come back

Nah they are just annoying. Have you "played" Adventure? The change to actually having visuals was a pretty big one.

I'm pretty sure a 5 year old could beat Super Mario 3D World. I guess that was Nintendo's goal. If you want hard games, there is always gen 5 and back...

Heh, actually my daughter (who is 4) can actually play Super Mario 3D okay. She still needs more practice though but I'd prefer her starting with older games to actual skills first.
