Medievil Remastered.
..........I mean, ok Sony. Can't say I, or probably anyone else, saw that coming.
Which franchise is next? Besides Spyro people, that's probably just a matter of time.

I don't remember the original being particularly popular. It sat on used game shelves, everywhere, untouched.
I think that Sony is starting to dig deep to unearth some of its own IP again in order to look unique compared to XBox One, since both platforms share like 99% of the same games. And Nintendo is owning the first party war, so it's almost makes sense to go back to some old PS1 franchises that helped to build the platform...
I guess.
I actually hope that's what's happening, wouldn't it be glorious to see some of the old forgotten IPs being revived?
Regardless of genre I mean.
Imagine them FINALLY bringing back Legend of Dragoon, or Trying to get Legaia brought back.
Maybe even Okage: Shadow King or Dark Cloud.
Or maybe something insane, like bringing back The real obscure things like Wild 9 (Real talk, who remembers Wild 9?).
Like they have SO MANY IPs they can bring back, just waiting there.
I remember reading Playstation Magazine back in the day and looking at Wild 9 ads, it looked pretty cool, although I never played it.
Ahh, Dark Cloud 3... How long I've waited. No matter how many years go by, every time E3 or Tokyo Game Show rolls around my very first thought is "I hope Dark Cloud 3 is announced."
Over the years, it's become very difficult not to be bitter towards Level 5's other games.
[Edit] Never mind, seems like Sony is the problem here, according to Level-5's CEO:

Even though a lot of the PS1 games haven't aged very well, it was still an amazing time for gaming innovation in the volume of new franchises and the changes to gaming in the transition to 3D and music, cinematic / VA, etc. While I'm playing some Gamecube / PS2 / XBox / Dreamcast games, it's hard to believe that we were only a single generation removed from that. Things had changed so much, and on the PS360 and Wii things had been nearly perfected in so many ways. If we see older games with perfected tech, it's going to be kinda cool.
Likewise, I hope Microsoft starts digging into the series it owns (Like literally anything from Rare.) in order to get more games as well.
I'd say Nintendo to, but given how well the Switch is doing, they probably won't need to.
Even NISA can't tell these CEs apart anymore.
