    Looks like we have a year. Kotaku headline is not accurate, because it implies that production already has ended. Kotaku sucks, BTW.

    And with no replacement for Vita, seems like Nintendo is still the champion of portable gaming as it was 30 years ago.

    Vita is a great machine that wasn't marketed well and had a stupid memory card. Even digital downloads won't last for long. I have a theory that the software attachment rate is pretty high though. Most Vita owners (like PSP owners) have lots of games. They just didn't sell many consoles. I have more Vita games than 3DS and Switch combined. Maybe 2x as many.

    I wouldn't say great, it's got some issues. That said I've also beat waaaaaay more games on Vita than 3DS. The memory card situation was complete bs.

    It's technically a competent system for when it was produced. Look at it compared to the 3DS. Not going to say that it has the greatest games ever though. It has lots of RPGs, but most are of dubious quality. I like collecting for it though because it's so weird and uncommon.
