Maybe if they weren't so full of **** they'd get less returns. I typically just settle for the partial refund when I get a damaged or not new product though, so...hopefully I'm safe?

They keep track of customer returns, promo credits received, refunds, etc and each account has a ratio % until which it's deemed abuse. Accounts are then warned and if it continues, closed permanently.
I ordered a new hdd off Amazon today. If it's used I'm going to be annoyed but I wouldn't think this would be as much of an issue with hdds...

I think the last thing with a damageable box that I ordered from Amazon was Axiom Verge. Thankfully it arrived safely. I've seen pictures of how things are arriving now and it's terrible how they are handling shipments.
Had a dvd set arrive with a completely broken case due to poor packaging. I'm sure it's my fault though, according to Amazon. The BD set in the package was fine however.
Edit: BD set case was actually cracked, but I'm just gonna keep it.
