Have tested extensively and not been able to reproduce this bug even once. Has anyone else experienced it? Any more information on conditions under which it happens?

I was playing on a PSP 3000, and trading with my brother playing on his Vita. I'm running official firmware, version 6.60. I traded a massive amount of items from one of my saves to one of his saves, then he traded the items back to another save of mine. (I was starting over with an earlier save and wanted to get through the game more quickly.) The first save had cleared the game, the Vita save had only completed the intro, and the second PSP save was just before "Fierce Martial Arts Tournament." The PSP was reset once to switch saves, but the Vita wasn't. The first set of trades went through just fine, but the second set didn't. My inventory wound up looking like this at the end:

    ------------------
    Judgment Branch

    Magic Chain

    Old Wood

    Drill

    Elephant Bone

    Walnut

    Pure Silver Fragment

    Magic Cloth

    Warrior's Rage

    Broken Dragon Fang

    Broken Dragon Fang

    Crazed War. Foot Bone

    ----

Thirteen total corrupted items. The blank spaces have an ? icon with the description text "Unknown."

Edit: All lost items were synthesis materials.

I'm going to try to reproduce it; I'll let you know if I have any success.

Vita to PSP is a good clue. We've been testing PSP to PSP. Maybe it's an emulation glitch. We'll try that.

    I reproduced it!

    Here's what I did:

Traded the following items to the Vita (Vita hosting). The Vita save had 100 daggers, campus equipment, etc. Everything went just fine for the first set of trades.

    Cracked Knight Bottom Armor
    Stone Chip of Int
    Bronze Vase
    Smashed Knight Armor
    Smashed Knight Armor
    Ripped Coat of Arms
    Smashed Scale
    Smashed Scale Leather
    Smashed Gloves
    Gunpowder
    Stone Chip of Luck
    Stone Chip of Int
    Stone Chip of Str
    Judgment Branch
    Magic Chain
    Old Wood
    Drill
    Elephant Bone
    Walnut
    Pure Silver Fragment
    Magic Cloth
    Warrior's Rage
    Broken Dragon Fang
    Broken Dragon Fang
    Crazed War. Foot Bone
    Disguise Kit
    Disguise Kit
    Spirit Tear
    Century Tree Branch
    Sky Dragon Bone
    Smashed Deathly Sickle
    Broken Angel Wings
    Statute Book
    Tiger Pelt
    Wyvern Saddle
    Shining Shell x3
    Strong Hide x8
    Ultimate Hide x6
    Mysterious Hide x2
    Alloy x10
    Superalloy x7
    Mysterious Iron x1
    High-Grade Cloth x3

    Star Fragment x1

Then I switched to the older save on my PSP with the following items in my inventory:

    Axe+2
    Broad Axe
    Saber
    Stone Club-2
    Staff
    Mr. Cow+1
    Shortbow
    Arrow
    Shadow Barrel
    Tarot+3
    Tank Top
    Robe
    Stone Chip
    Twisted Broad Axe
    Carpenter Wood Hammer
    Broken Rapier
    Rotten Club
    Broken Pole
    Broken Javelin x2
    Twisted Lance
    Iron Fist
    Snake Fang

    Flower of Courage x2
    Smashed Leather Armor
    Small Pot Lid
    Torn Ribbon
    Torn Student Hat
    Excellent Shoes
    Punctured Leather Cylinder
    Paw Pad
    Paw Pad
    Torn Cape
    Love Letter
    Love Letter
    Sign of Friendship
    Beginner's Brush Map x99

Vita was hosting the second time as well. I traded all the junk items until I ran out of them, then traded Beginner's Brush maps one by one until I received the message that my inventory was full. I canceled the trade at that point and my inventory on the PSP save looked like this:

    --------------
    Statute Book

    Wyvern Saddle

    Strong Hide x7

    Ultimate Hide x6

    Mysterious Hide x2

    Alloy x10

    Superalloy x7

    Mysterious Iron x1

    High-Grade Cloth x3

    Ultimate Cloth x1

    Ultimate Bone x8

    Century Tree Branch x6

    Millenium Tree Wood x1

    ----------------------

The Vita save's items are all completely fine. Rather than items being corrupted, it looks like these extra "dummy" items are being added when the trades are being executed. I see no gaps in the order that I traded the items in this list.

Edit: Save datas are in hand. Where should I send them?

When you say you "switched" to an older save, that means you left the net trade session, loaded, and came back, right?

And this only happens on a Vita/PSP session? Have you tried PSP/PSP?

Thanks for the investigative work. We've been trying to reproduce this without success, but on PSP/PSP setups, not PSP/Vita.

Yes, I left the net trade session. Reset the PSP, loaded a different save, and came back. The Vita did not reset or load. Have not tried PSP to PSP for lack of a second working PSP. I've copied the pertinent save files if you want them.

When you say "reset the PSP", you mean using the game's soft reset that brought you to the title screen immediately, or completely rebooted the PSP and reloaded the game?

Hit the PS button to exit the game and relaunched CoH2, then selected the second save.
