Another option is to open it up and snip them off.

Vinyl is good. Digital is good. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

That said, vinyl is inherently noisy and imperfect. CDs are inherently limited in accuracy due to their 16 bit depth. Either of these flaws are generally acceptable.

Digital offers convenience. Vinyl offers a unique analog medium. DACs are so good these days that even 16 bit is fine for CDs and vinyl quality is also very good these days, but you will pay a premium.

I rip all of my music to FLAC and challenge a vinyl fanatic to tell me that 24 bit FLAC doesn't sound "better" than vinyl. But it's all subjective. On the go, I've got them converted to 320 kbps MP3 on Google Music.

What it does come down to is the master and dynamic range. People don't understand just how much music has been destroyed with digital remasters and part of that has to do with cramming it into a 22 kHz space, which I detail in this thread. Excessive compression. That's the biggest problem now. Anyway, stay away from 128 kbps MP3. It will never sound good.

Got a second speaker hooked up to my 8 track player and noticed it playing another track (different on each speaker). Opened it up and found a plastic piece cracking due to a spring putting pressure on it. Player looks to be marked 1967. Not bad for a 50 yo player. Fixing it now, also gave it a cleaning. Sounds great when it's adjusted.

    Take that audio snobs.

Whatever works for you, bro. The two trolls make fun of my Atari, but I bet you run yours through a Betamax. 😀

Ironically, older troll probably grew up while Atari 2600 was still a thing. He just doesn't admit it. He can't fool me. Not naming any names.

I love Atari. Hated it when I was younger though.

    LORD OF TROLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

The advantage to vinyl is there's a hard limit on how much they can ruin the DR.
