It's a Pioneer PL-112D, I'm going to pair it with those speakers I found eventually when I get the space, but I also want to find a period (hopefully Pioneer) receiver as well to tie it all together.
My Trinitron decided to die last night. Standby LED generating an error code about a shorted transistor. Going to have to tear it apart.
Ordered an OSSC and it arrived the next day. Gotta say, I sorta wish I'd pulled the plug on one sooner. I need to run some tests but it's been really impressive so far, even on an old 13-year LCD that I dragged out of the basement. Gotta test with some newer displays soon. Probably end up getting a cheap 4k LCD for the retro gaming setup.
It is but I continue to be impressed by the OSSC and really can't explain just how good it is unless you see it in person. I still can't believe it. I have 8 systems attached right now:
Dreamcast is hooked VGA. Everything else YPbPr right now; Wii, PS2, OG XBox, SNES, Genesis, Master System, Saturn. I need to RGB mod (I have the PCB) my PC Engine and then get my NT Mini connected in 2 months when it's released.
Man, the Dreamcast looks SO GOOD in 480p mode with this. Better than I've ever seen it through a normal LCD w/ VGA box, though there are those HDMI mods now that are undoubtedly better. Plus, I can play those odd games that didn't work with SCART RGB. Beat Darkstalkers 3 (Vampire Chronicles) last night. Also beat Capcom Vs. SNK 2 again but that also worked with SCART.
