Switch it. Switch it good.
Day one? No. Nintendo already said they are limiting production and I'm not dealing with that mess. When it gets clearanced in a couple years I'll grab it.
Limited production? My interest has been quelled.
When does Nintendo overproduce anymore?
They need to stop purposely producing "Limited" amounts, though. At least try to make the fans happy.
I had planned to buy every Amiibo when they were first announced, but as soon as I saw that we NEVER got ANY of them on release anywhere near me, I stopped caring. I own a few.
Nintendo has been under-producing launch windows since the original NES console.
I want a switch because it's the only real upcoming portable gaming machine. If they can keep the price competitive with Vita and tablets, I think that it should be fine.
I've always waited at least a year after a console launches before I buy it. Unless they reveal a ton of good launch or close-to-launch games on the 12th, that won't change.
But I am excited for this system. If they can really merge Nintendo's handheld and console libraries, while also beefing up the amount console-esque games, it'll be fantastic. And the amount of "hype" directed at the Switch already bodes well for the console.
My main concern with the Switch, and I thought this while watching the trailer, has always been...
What happens to Etrian Odyssey?
Without a touch screen mapping becomes even more of a hassle, and it's a feature that already turns people off to the series. I hope Atlus comes up with a good solution.

I'll end up getting one just to finally get to play Splatoon if nothing else.
I never got a WiiU because the only time I tried one, at a Kiosk, the load times were so bad I actually thought it might be broken. Was an extremely bad first/only impression.
I have my doubts that anything can have worse load time than the PS3. What an abomination on so many levels.
I like a lot of PS3 games. It's just a goofball system. I have no idea why people liked it considering that 360 games actually run from the disk. PS3 requires hard drive installs and the load times are still horrible. Yeah, you have to sometimes swap them on 360, but only a few times on huge RPGs like Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon. Almost everything else runs on a single disk.
