My clear red DS3 that was bought direct from Target some years back (the target only color), the sticker matches LOP's except with a black background and an 'E' as the first digit in the SN.

This is new to me. Are there other US/NA retail exclusive colors or limited versions of the Dualshock 3 that aren't part of a pack-in/aren't specific game themed?

I don't think store specific. There was a number of colors/patterns that I'm sure were sold seperately. This is the only non-black PS3 controller I have so far. I have 2 six-axis, a used cracked DS3 from the 40GB PS3 I got, and a couple cheapo DS3s from the PStv bundurus.

The A2 revision that came with my PSTV feels noticeably lighter than the earliest version with the brackets between the L/R triggers.
