I purchased a counterfeit DualShock 3 from eBay just recently. First thing I noticed was the Playstation logo misprinted and not centered on the playstation button. Felt like the triggers felt off and decided to look into what to look for through Google to find it matched all the signs to check for. Of course the seller went "It is authentic just look at my user rating!". DGAF about your user rating when I'm holding a counterfeit controller in my hand. eBay sided with me after I explained in detail how I determined it to be fake, refunded my money, and advised me to destroy the controller.

Interesting. Was your seller from Florida, by any chance? Looks like a lot of these knockoffs come from Florida and California.

That's because there are Chinese knock-off outposts in Florida and California . I figure that any seller with US, CA/FL and a zip code is China junk.

Edit: Forgot about New York, I've seen similarly shady sellers there as well.

I've noticed that Pokemon on eBay before, and I REALLY want to buy it. But I can't make myself do it...

I purchased two bootleg Pokemon games for GBA. I like how they're physical and all that stuff.

The typos are really what makes them great, but the "custom" Pokemon art (as in redrawn Pokemon from the original set) is a close second.

Oh boy, I love bootleg games. That Vietnamese Pokemon Crystal is hilarious.

Random related info. Not sure just how true this is based off Z's posts/pics.
@Z: Did your fake have a reset button?

there are fake controllers that look exactly like an official Sony controller, except they don't have a reset button.
If your controller have a reset button at the back and that works, then you got yourself an official Dualshock 3, even if it looks weird or something like that
