They announced some winners today, doing it Monday instead of Friday.

I realized Monday made more sense to announce the prior week's winners, so shifted to that for this week and moving forward.

I feel like having a new or not very used Twitter account automatically puts you out of the pot for these types of contests. Why have a winner with less than 10 followers, whereas you can choose a winner with hundreds and then have it (the contest, and thus, the game) be exposed to more people?

Pretty sure the winners are chosen randomly, though. As far as I can tell, everyone has an equal chance.

It's a random thing, you participate, you have a chance to win. And someone with 5 high-profile followers can be more valuable than someone with 1000 normal followers. The immediate follower count isn't as important as the reach of the followers.
