My brother's fiance and their kids don't wear masks, at all. It's silly to have that idea. She also doesn't do vaccinations.
A mask eventually becomes a detriment to your health, physically and mentally.
...and sexually.
I mean, in like normal scenarios I'd agree. But we are literally dealing with a variant of a virus that's never been encountered in humans before (hence the novel part). A little extra safety now around others hardly seems like overkill for the next 6-9 months.
Trust me, I'm all for natural immunity, but with even fringe cases causing all sorts of crazy symptoms I'm happy to wait until I can get my family out there with less risk. I just got canned anyway because of corona budget cuts so it's not like I'm going out any time soon anyway.
It's not "novel" anymore. It has a name called SARS-CoV-2. All coronavirus were "novel" until they were discovered, since the 1930s. MERS (MERS-CoV) and SARS (SARS-CoV) were also "novel" and the media scared the hell out of everyone with those as well.
I'm all for letting people take the precautions that they need to take. I oppose forcing people out of mass paranoia. Not everyone lives in fear, and it's evil to attempt to force that fear upon the populous. Miraculously, many of the same people who want to "abolish the police" also were in favor of a police state over Covid-19.
Furthermore, nearly every claim about the severity of this alleged "pandemic" is proving to be false. People should use common sense. There is a lot of financial and political gain that's causing an exploitation of this that is now undeniable at this point. People are more than welcome to stay locked up while the rest of the world gets back to normal.

canned? .
Canned = Losing a job. I'm sorry to hear that it's happened to you, xelement5x.
Wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer, and using anti-bacterial soap constantly will only weaken the immune system in the long term. If others want to that's fine by me but I definitely won't. Hopefully it won't take you long to find another job once the craziness calms down.
Well said. Now that we have data to be referenced it's clear that the prediction models were way off.
