Eiyuden Chronicle (Kickstarter starts July 27th, 2020)

The studio has announced its debut title, Eiyuden Chronicle, which will undergo a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign starting on July 27, 2020. Eiyuden Chronicle is being developed for PC initially, with console versions under consideration, with a planned launch in late 2022.

Has a look similar to Octopath Traveler (PC/Switch)

I will be backing this 100%.
Yes it has a similar look to Octopath Traveler, and that is the right way to do things
Although if I may, I don't like the very high resolution of the sprites.
Those things are hard for developers to work with, which could take a long time. I'd rather they make games just like the PS1, 320x240.

If for example Lunar were to return, I'd REALLY prefer a SegaCD or PS1 style, nothing more modern than that.

    I'm in.

.....Real talk, when the Realization this wasn't a dream kicked in, that we are actually getting a Spiritual Successor to Suikoden, I cried a little.

It looks pretty cool. Yet another example of keeping the spirit of Konami alive after they've killed their brand.

If this is as good comparatively as Bloodstained was minus the bugs I'd be thrilled.

I'm not going to back something that is at least 2+ years out. Never again. Paprium (and Pier Solar Dreamcast) spoiled me.

I have to say that's a solid sentiment. I've been burned (and have many others I know) on videogame Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaigns. I'll just wait until the actual product is completed.

You played it unpatched though because you wouldn't plug your PS4 in. :P

There were some massive changes to the game.

It hadn't been patched when I played it. There was a patch when I was almost done but supposedly I would have needed to start over.
