Tales of Vesperia is my favourite RPG for the 360, i actually scored the Vesperia special edition in the tin case with soundtrack. I got it for $25 off of a guy on Craigslidt, it sells for $100 plus. I guess the seller didn't have a clue on the value. His loss my gain![]()
Yeah, I want to eventually get the SE of Vesperia.
They go for around $100-130 complete. It's pretty much double of what the original $60 was.

Games beaten/beaten again this year:
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Final Fantasy IV (PSP)
Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim
close enough!
hmmm
Lost Odyssey is a must, for story and soundtrack, few top it.
Magna Carta 2 - I would recommend this one because this and magna carta throne of blood are the only two works from Softmax we got in the US, aka makers of War of Genesis one of the most beautiful looking games in terms of character design.
Vesperia - I would recommend this in general, but its actually better on the ps3, but we did not get the import version here.
Blue Dragon is underrated, was def. a solid game in the vein of FF/DQ
Infinite/Last Remnant are decent
Spectral Souls 3 and Operation Darkness are good if you like strategy
the rest like Resonance, Star OCean, Enchanted Arms, Dark Souls and Eternal Sonata are all playable on the ps3 and better on the ps3.
In fact ps3 like all Sony systems is just head and shoulders above the rest in terms of rpgs.
Edit: Sweet Jesus how did I forget one of my favorite games Record of Agarest war series, sure its another one thats better on the ps3, but the first one is only available through physical release in the US on the xbox, great strategy rpg, and closet thing we will ever get to a dating sim or at least a game with dating sim elements, that thousand arms, azure dreams and sakura wars V
Really depends upon who you ask and under which terms. More often than not, Xbox 360 games come out on top for technical reasons, but later PS3 ports gain (and sometimes lose) features. Its not as simple as saying that one platform is better than the other. Both seem to have their share of better versions. Frankly, only the games really matter anymore and there is no denying that PS3 probably had more traditional console-style RPGs this generation, with Disgaea, Ni No Kuni, and a greater assortment of bad NIS and Compile Heart games. 360 had a few more western RPGs but both platforms had a large number of RPGs that were not exclusives. Most were ports of PC games. PS3 had the definitive version of FF XIII, but the game was so poor that it doesn't even matter. Ratings seem to place it on par with Last Remnant, and that's simply inexcusable.Originally Posted by KrownKlown
However, that's not saying much because both platforms were tremendously weak when it came to localized console-style RPGs when compared to the previous two generations. The best selection of QUALITY console-style RPGs were on the DS and PSP, and a lot of them were just ports of older games.
Ironically, my favorite console exclusives were on the Wii. Everything else that I enjoyed was available for both the 360 and PS3 with just a handful of exceptions.
