Oh, there are a few games I'd love to get my hands on.

Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Skies of Arcadia Legends (along with the strat guide), Monster Rancher 1 & 2 (I miss them...), Rival Schools for PSX, Thousand Arms, and of course, Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Those are the ones I know I'd want the most, though I bet there's a few I'm just not remembering at the moment. I'm trying to keep myself from falling into the e-bay trap, but I can't really find 'em in the wild where I live (let's face it, I have no real transportation of my own). And the one place I know I could go to try and find any sort of deals... well, let's just say I can't take the day off to go to a gaming expo next week. Which is too bad, because I know it's one of the better places to get some decent deals.

Mana Khemia 2 isn't too bad online last I knew (great game). The rest of those are pretty pricey though.

Checking eBay, at least Monster Rancher 1 and 2 aren't too bad. Without too much digging, I saw the first one for a bit under $24, and the second for $28. These prices are shipped for used complete copies. (I try to avoid disc-only myself.) Looking at the rest, Radiant Dawn has jumped in price since I last checked. (Best is @ $71 now; this is in the normal range). Arcadia Legends can be had for about $60 now (Stalk eBay, and you might be able to halve this; some auctions have closed in the $30 range, but this is rare.), but the guide is another matter. (Best price I see on that is at eStarland, for $35+shipping. I see no completed auctions of late for this.) Mana Khemia 2... well... the Japanese one is cheap, and the JPN PSP one isn't much more. The US version is a crapshoot, going anywhere from $30-70. (All listed copies now are at this high end or more.)

Continuing on the random pricing, Rival Schools ranges from $20-50, though the lower priced versions require care to check for completeness. (Cheapest complete right now is $38.) Thousand Arms is pretty stable in the $50-55 range, though you'll sometimes see one for less. Tron Bonne, well... yeah... you might get a disc only for sub-$100?

I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with eBay, though I'm also trying to find something to spend these eBay Bucks on, so I gandered that for you to let you decide if you want to keep avoiding that trap.

I like e-bay for the most part honestly, as I'm able to get games I otherwise couldn't. The draw back is places that price based on ebay.

I forgot what game it was, but I bought a PS1 double-case game for $2.50 (last winter 2012) and it had a disc only copy of Monster Rancher 2 for PS1 as well! I'm still looking for a case/manual though. -_-

Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe it was Ogre Battle that had the extra Monster Rancher 2 disc in it and it was taped shut.

Hard to believe it's going for that kind of price now. Honestly, I think that the Dreamcast version is the better game. Yes, the GCN version has extras, and it also has a decreased encounter rate (I never thought the original was that bad). But I think that the GCN graphical / texture clarity tanked a bit and the audio quality on the GCN version is abysmal.

    I've played through both versions.

The graphics weren't that big of a deal to me. I's really the music that breaks it for me. I could tell a difference right away. The original sounded great, and the GCN version sounds tinny and weird. The extra content isn't really worth that tradeoff, and the encounter rate tweaks were a bit over exaggerated. I honestly noticed no substantial difference in the encounter rate.

Agreed! For some reason most people are under the impression that the Gamecube version is the all-around supperior release, when this is just simply not the case.

The thing that bothered me the most with the Gamecube version was the massive downgrade for transparency effects (ie. clouds, which are everywhere in the game).

That's usually just because the people that make those claims haven't played them both. The GCN version just felt rushed to me.
