I'm pretty close to completing my Wii U and Vita collections (of anything I care for), though either will still probably take me a few years with how many platforms I'm collecting for. I pre-ordered a Super Nt, so I'm going to start getting some more SNES games at some point (I picked up Breath of Fire for $20 while visiting a friend in my hometown, but that's all I have so far).

Do they charge you when you pre-order, or when it ships?

I like how much cheaper it is than the NES one. They know it has to be. Still way too much for me for what it is.

The NES came out pretty sleek from what I saw, buy you're right, its priced in the serious category.

It's like $5 more than the RetroUSB AVS, which i s what its comparable to. The Analogue NT is a completely different sort of device, by everything I have read.

Yes, they charge when you order, plus $40ish shipping (for within the US), plus a 3% or so fee if your card/bank charges for foreign transactions (I used my debit card and had no idea the US company selling these would be using their newly opened Hong Kong branch for such transactions without telling anyone, so oh well, another $7 for that). It's around $230 with shipping in the US if not counting the foreign transaction fee that may or may not apply. I saw no options for cheaper shipping or even Paypal and would've prefered both. I guess it's even more if you want one of the matching wireless controllers, but I didn't.

It's expensive, but I would rather do this than pay at least $80 for a used SNES that might be yellowing or smell of cigarettes or isn't a 1 CHIP or whatever other issues/variables I'd have to deal with. I despise buying used hardware more than just about anything else involving collecting/playing older games, so it's worth it to me.

I'm sure it's a quality product. Just none of these things are for me since I have all the old consoles as well as upscalers and RGB cables. $230 for a SNES is a lot when I already have one and barely play it.

I'm honestly not really in the target demographic myself, it's just the price of older Nintendo consoles is a bit out of hand and people don't take care of their stuff. If I didn't feel strongly about even one of those two aspects, I would buy something else. I also hate the idea of buying a SNES on eBay, which is the alternative (2nd hand stores in this area are even more of a rip-off or potentially even more shady, if they have anything worth buying in the first place). I also have never purchased an upscaler or RGB cable, so the image quality aspects are just a bonus to me.
