I'm torn right now. Most of my Amiibo are still in their original boxes since if I want a figure I'll get like a real nice figure and display it, not these little dinky things. My daughter loves playing with the Pikachu amiibo so he's out in regular rotation though. I'm at the point now though that since I have BotW I want to use my Wolf link thought. I might pull that out so I can use it in the game.

I don't really pay attention to amiibo prices, but I imagine opening them devalues them quite a bit. You can pirate the actual function of amiibo's really easily if you have a NFC capable phone, just Google TagMo.

I know there's been a pc thingy since they came out.
Amiibos are really weird as nintendo is still screwing with them. They put out quite a few of the older ones in mass finally yet many of the new ones are super rare and still basically need reserved to get one.
I know a guy who's still keeping up with them by preorder.

I have like 8 or so and would like more but I'll just wait till I find em for ~$2 used.

The old Link Smash Bros one got super expensive when Breath of the Wild came out. Prior it had been one of the cheapest, most common ones out there, now sells for $60+ opened.

Maybe I should've sold my Zelda amiibo's... I totally have that one and think it's one of the uglier ones (that yellow post). I got the Guardian one because Amazon had a preorder price error on it, I heard it had some crazy level of demand. My brother was dumping a lot of hours into BotW and I figured it was wasted hanging on my wall, so I just gave it to him.
