I think I have $0 in my SNES, lol. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

I prefer the CRT look too. Using a VGA CRT monitor currently. PVM is collecting dust atm.

That I can agree with for sure. Way better than hyperkin trash.

I mean...in an ideal world I could affordably buy original hardware that reliably works and doesn't have cooties or need a bunch of additional equipment that's also expensive to function or not look horrible on certain displays, but that's not my reality for much of anything from the 8 or 16-bit era.
The Genesis is kind of an exception because they're cheap and I've never owned one to have standards/nostalgia based on previous experiences or need anything to be THE BEST about my experience with it (and at least they don't turn yellow or have issues like the NES lockout/blinking light whatever as far as I know). It's not that difficult or expensive to get a model 1 in nice shape and I feel like I'd be golden with a late model CRT and HD Retrovision cable (which I both already own and only had to pay for the latter). I just haven't bought one yet because I keep getting distracted by other things I want more.

I have an old SNES that works fine, but I don't have an old CRT TV anymore, or room to set one up. I love my retroUSB AVS, it looks great on my HD TV, and I'm sure this will too. Thanks for the order information, I really appreciate that! Which color did you order?
I don't have all that post-processing stuff, and my AV-MULTI doesn't look good on my TV, and I know this will, with no introduced lag, so why not? Probably cheaper for me to buy this than all that gear. I am glad they went FPGA with this one rather than actual NES hardware with additions like the Analogue NT was. Unless I'm completely misremembering what that system was.
