8bit platformers and shooters are pretty great. Played through Star Soldier already.

I like the idea of everdrives but I never play games that way. Idk why. I can't imagine ever buying Moon Crystal or Recca so maybe eventually.

Got Macross and El Hazard in trade. I was definitely happy to finally grab El Hazard and was pleased to see the set included the 2nd ova as well.

Pretty cool, I think just the first ova was released on LD w/ English subs. This set (which is an obnoxious fold out digipak) has the first and the sequel ova. Only anime I have on LD is Vampire Princess Miyu. I'd pick up Japanese LDs if dirt cheap if only for the art.

Oh, had to google the 2nd ova series. The sleeve art is really charming, but the subtitles are....only accessible via the TV's closed captions and look terrible. The other anime I have on laserdisc is a neat Animeigo double feature of Riding Bean and Metal Skin Panic Madox-01, and the box set of Urotsukidoji.

I think it looks great, a lot nicer chipboard than most bootlegs in my opinion and the slide out image of Ifurita on the front is pretty nice.

That's not a bad price, I picked them up several years ago and paid just a bit under that myself.


I've got a fair bit of anime LDs but they're hard to come by. My favs are Ah My Goddess, Dominion Tank Police, the Ghost in the Shell Box, El Hazard set, and of course the Tenchi In Love Movie, amazing set. I also have a copy of U-Jin, the art on that is nice too.
