Magus (PS3 Action.RPG) developed by Aksys Games has released (Feb 25th): Thoughts?

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...keywords=magus

    Retails for $29.99

Some say it's the worst game in recent memory, yet also find it addicting in a, "so bad it's good" mentality. Have any of you tried it? It's co-developed by Aksys Games and Black Tower.

    Here's some gameplay footage:

I'll probably buy it eventually because I like RPGs.

Sometimes I'm masochistic so I may pick it up when it's around $5. Would not pay any amount of actual money for it though.

I'm curious to see which one of us will actually get to play it and talk about it 0-0 (not me though lol). It still puzzles me why a company would create a game that it's audience would not touch with a 10f pole (at least that's the general consensus ever since they started shearing media on it). I must admit I'm curious about it, it just seems like an oddity.

The only Magus I care about is from a 90s SNES RPG.

This game looks hilariously bad. It's like a new generation Shadow Madness with ugly character designs and weird gameplay. It looks like they merged Drakengard and Robotron, but forgot to include the plot.

I managed to find one video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EepM...e_gdata_player

If I ever do buy it, it will be a result of how uncommon it may ultimately be, and I'll wait until it is $10 on Amazon.

I hate to insult a guy's dream, but I can't help but to crack up when I watch that "dude" from Black Tower talk about his game in the"making of" video. It feels like they let some random guy, fresh out of "video game school", have a pile of money.

I joke. Apparently Richie Casper worked as a creative director at Aquire (of CoH fame), on Ogarhythm. Before that, it looks like he was an animator.

I'm not sure what Black Tower Studios really is, but it seems like they just had a concept and some other company programmed the game. I'd be interested in who really was behind this mockery of western RPGs.
