    The Music Thread.

What's everyone listen to? I've been into SOHN: https://soundcloud.com/sohnmusic , who has a CD coming out in a few weeks. My buddy and I are going to his show in May. I'm a fan of his old band, Trouble Over Tokyo. If I were to categorize it, it's sorta experimental electronic pop / electropop. Lots of simple analog synth, which is quite different than his old stuff which was more vocal.

I listen to all sorts of genres though, from game soundtracks, to classical, to metal. Anything in between.

    Anyone else care to share?

Metal. My favorite bands are Dream Theater, Opeth, My Dying Bride, among others. This is also where my name originates from!

I can listen to some rap and pop as well, but only selected artists.

I like a lot of really unconventional metal, that is - metal fused with electronic / oriental, experimental stuff, black / folk metal (which is a pretty broad genre, I suppose). I'll have to check out some of the bands that you posted.

I'm not much of a rap fan unless you count 80's rap and alt hip-hop, which was simply fun.

Poooooooooower metal. I listen to most real metal genres save maybe black and death which I'm pretty particular about. I listen to other genres as well (Motown !) but metal is definitely the majority of my listening.

I have pretty eclectic music tastes. I like a bit of most everything, though I don't do gangsta rap, old twangy country, or like death metal. My favorite bands are Oasis, Linkin Park, Rascal Flats, Imagine Dragons, and One Ok Rock. I am trying to get more into the jpop and jrock scene, but I don't really know where to start beyond anime stuff.

Both amazing bands. Knew your name was a metal band, but not really one that I'm into.

Listening to some Melechesh right now. Black death with an Arabian kick. They are a band that has got better since their early work. If anyone here likes this kind of stuff Sphynx, Emissaries and The Epigenesis are must own albums.

I listen to a bit of everything just about. One of my favourite, lesser known bands is Ghoultown.

I like some video game music (mostly orchestrated), and like a good amount of today's popular music, but in my car I usually keep it on the 80's station (which also plays 90s and today's). I'm an 80's guy!

Mostly just the music from the Kotoura-San anime.
Its a pretty good show, but really sad too (at least in the beginning). Crunchyroll has it up for free if anyone's interested: http://www.crunchyroll.com/kotoura-s...abe-kun-617183
