Check. And I think that was the problem with the one that was a pain - problem with getting the tax form signed or something. Mickey Shannon won the Shining Wisdom one and it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy. Didn't forget that one.

and I seem to remember seeing the tape from the winner of Thunder Force V.

I know its been almost 20 years, but if you did see that tape, do you remember what that guy did to get such a high score?
I thought I was good at Thunder Force V, but pulling out all the tricks I could find including using the one hidden ship that gave a score bonus, even being able to 1 life the game I think I still wasn't even able to crack half of what the top score was. Insane.

so what did that guy do to break the final left most 0 on the score tally? I always thought that was a place holder.

the only thing I could figure was getting some mega bonus for beating the final boss with that crummy add on doohickey you get.
