Glad to hear things have worked out somewhat for you. Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing with her signing everything.

I gotta take him home (technically) today. I miss him already and he's still here. We'll see if she tries to keep him from me again. I'm sure it'll depend on what sh*t her parents say since she isn't big on thinking for herself. It's odd that they're so brazen, though. Her stepdad has recently had a stroke (guess her mom's been neglecting her wifely duties) and her mom has cadaver bones and gel inserts in her neck as if she was sponsored by Dr. Scholls. What's that old saying? Oh yeah. People in glass bodies should shut the f*ck up.

Beat Final Fantasy 12 Zodiac Age (Switch) today. Time was around 28 hours, Lv 63. Played/Beat it on PS2.

The graphical/sound enhancements as well as 2x/4x speed really help rejuvenate a game to replay it. Story is nothing special. Glad to be done with it!

--I was playing God of War (PS4) but got stuck in a spot that I'll probably have to look up a guide on how to get past. It's only in the second 'world' where you have to use crystals to make pathways, but one is blocked by some vines you are supposed to shoot all 3 at the same time, and I can only reach one at a time. Not sure what's going on there, sooooo that's on hold for now.

Next game: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Switch).

So, I got the plats for the 3 games in the Nathan Drake collection and just started playing Uncharted 4 for the first time, liking it so far.

Also beat Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo on the Vita. Kudos to Arc System Works and LRG for putting all the DLC on the cart. I'll be playing Operation Osaka next.

Which Uncharted game did you like best? Unpopular opinion but I preferred 3. Most people like the second game but I found it a bit dull. At least the third game has an explanation for the "supernatural" aspect. First two games got a bit carried away with stupid writing. Fourth game was a lot of fun. I also like it better than the first two.

Back in the ps3 days, I thought U3 looked beautiful, but my fav was 2 by a bit. I just liked the general setting and chapters better.

For the remastered versions, U3 lost a bit of its graphical advantage, but I still consider it a fine game. I think one of the reasons why it is not at the top for me is because of the melee fights. While I was replaying the game this time, I felt like there were too many forced hand-to-hand combats.

In the few chapters I've played of U4, I've seen a fair share of melee combat, but it feels a bit less repetitive this time. We will see how it evolves.

I like Lawrence of Arabia, so the homage to that was really cool for me. Something about the game seemed more epic. We dropped "Lost Legacy" about halfway through. It's not bad but isn't as deep as some of the mainline games.

2-4 are all good, for sure. I just don't think that 2 is as good as most people think it is. I prefer 3-4.

    I would put 2 above 3, but 4 was a very epic conclusion to the series. I'd probably put it as 2 > 4>=3 Lost Legacy> 1

To be honest though my impressions of the older games are like what, 10 years old probably? I should replay them (the remasters) to see if they still hold up.

Also, I'm waiting for UnKarted, because I think that's what they did with Jak after 3 or 4 games, is make a Kart racing game.

I also played Golden Abyss some time ago, so after finishing U4 I would be missing only Lost Legacy.

    RE Uncharted

4 is the longest one but outside of a couple stretches I felt it was amazing.

I do think the originals hold up fine for play today. People sometimes talk about the clunk of the first one but I don't think that really goes away in 2-3. It was all a bit clunky then too, one of the first things I noticed when playing the first time and it hasn't stopped me from replaying them.

Speaking of clunk I've been back at Xenogears lately. You really have to work against the game in weird ways that I don't know if the developer intended. The worst thing is you can get into a battle at any time. Moving the camera counts. This wouldn't even be all that bad if not for the fact that there are sequences where you have to make jumps in this game. If a battle triggers while you are in mid air instead of completing the jump as normal you fall to the ground. This can cause a lot of back tracking. The "trick" is to make sure you get into a battle before you jump which should make it to where you won't get in another battle so quickly, but of course there are no guarantees..
