Oh God...I can't even imagine playing something like The Witcher III. Persona 3 and 4 were timesinks, but not in the way that longer non-Japanese RPGs can be for someone like me. I recall putting 200+ hours into Morrowind and never touching the main storyline, so I think it might be more difficult to finish something even remotely similar (I'm still open world ignorant, so that's the closest and only example I can think of).

Witcher games aren't all that long. Quite reasonable in fact. Unless you are just purposefully wasting time with it which you can do with a lot of games.

@Z: Highly recommended, it's got THE GRITTTTT.

You play either before? Two of my all-time favorite RPGs. I still love FF II / IV better than III / VI, but there is no doubt that the later game is a masterpiece in many more ways.
    High-five!

Beat Nier Automata (~8 hours). Ending A. There's basically 26 endings, one for each letter of ABC. I dunno how many times I'll replay the game/certain sections of the game just for more exposition. The controls made my hand hurt after a while.

I enjoyed Nier (PS3/Xbox) moreso than Automata. Just seemed like the first playthrough had more of a story/emotional impact than the barebones first playthrough of the sequel.

The original Nier is a masterpiece in spite of its limited technical adjustments. Pretty sure than no other game game has had the same emotional impact on me.

Beat Walking Dead S1 on Vita the telltale game. Super easy. Had to be some facepalm moments that you can't avoid. Why's everyone have to be so dumb? Touch controls were fine only problem playing was often during the QTEs during the start the game would basically slow to a freeze for a few secs then it'd be fine.
