I beat Earthbound (SNES Classic) and Persona 4 (PS2) in my absence. I was considering Xenogears next, but might go for FFIII on SNES Classic instead.

Z, my man, have you played the Witcher series? Tis glorious. One of the best modern rpg franchises.
I should play FFVI eventually or something. Heard so many good things. Buuuut JRPG.![]()

I played the first hour or so of Xenogears when I bought it not too long ago, just to test it out. FFIII I've rented and had friends that owned it, but that was when I was a kid. I have no idea why I never rented Xenogears. I don't recall ever seeing it at places like Blockbuster around when it came out. I could only afford the JRPGs that had price-reduced rereleases or that weren't that expensive used, so the only Final Fantasy games I owned as a kid were the first Final Fantasy, the three Game Boy (SaGa & Mana) titles and the Greatest Hits releases of VII and VIII. I don't recall ever seeing the Greatest Hits of Xenogears or I would've bought it (maybe it came out after I sold my PS1 and was focused on Dreamcast...there was also a period between were I was mostly playing NES and Saturn games...it's hard to remember exactly when everything happened).
I don't think I played much on PS1 post-FFVIII, so any later PS1 releases I missed out on. I missed out on Chrono Chross too, so that's another one I need to play sooner than later (and Chrono Trigger was one of the few JRPGs I formerlly owned on the SNES, along with Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, and Arcana). Half of the games I formerly owned on SNES are on SNES Classic, so I'm relieved to not feel the need to repurchase the carts I sold a long time ago.
