I'm always going to be thinking of Reggie's face now when I see her. Thanks guys.

We had lunch just now and I jokingly brought it up (grandia). She admited that she would like to actually play next time. So it'll be about the balance. She also admitted she forgot there was so much reading in the game. Again I told her that's kind of what this genre entails.
She still loves Ryudo tho. To me he seems like a punk.

When I see your face
I think of Reggie too
When my wife and I play through an RPG we are normally playing through for 2-3 hours at a time, enough time normally to get some story and through a dungeon for the majority of modern RPGs, it totally depends on if the story is engaging enough though. For Co-Op RPGs, Tales games are pretty good actually.
Probably ideal to try to at least get 2 hours in. Like you said, it gets you some story and a dungeon.
Since this is our first time doing this it was kind of nervy seeing if she would sigh if I talked to everyone in a village before doing story points. Something I personally do. Shes seemed ok with it.
It was fun hearing her sigh when I left the first shop without buying any medicinal items before going to the first Tower in Grandia II. Showed she was still paying attention + somewhat engaged.
Beat Shining Force III last night as expected. Started Ogre Battle: March of the Black (PSX) version for first time last night. Cool game, looking forward to getting into it. Feel like the last time I played a more unique strategy game like this was Dragon Force, and I loved that.
Yes. I found Brigandine to be very bland.
