    Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

Arc II is also awesome, the first game is basically a prologue for it, highly recommend it.

Disgaea from a gameplay perspective only gets better after the first game. They fixed and refined a lot over the course of the series.

What did you not like in particular about SRW?

I was going to suggest more Langrisser but...

    VVV

I laughed. Mainly because I have a friend that cares about the story in fighters and I could not care less.
Yeah, I have Radiant Dawn next on the FE list and am strongly considering Arc II. I didn't really get into Arc the Lad until it was just about to end, so would be nice to go back to it. I'll always play games series in a row if at all possible (I played FE: Shadow Dragon since it was remake of the first a little sooner), so my next Disgaea would be Dark Hero Days. That game was long, and I'll probably try a couple other series before going back to Disgaea though. Although I have to get to work if I want to get to 5 Complete that I already purchased for the Switch.

I'm interested to try a few of the PS2 NISA titles like La Pucelle Tactics and Makai Kingdom. I've also heard Saiyuki on Playstation was good for what it was. And if I want to start to play the Shadow Hearts series then I'll have to pop in Koudelka first at some point.

I should probably quit my job, leave my family, and move to a cabin in the woods powered by solar. Only way I'm going to get in the playing time I need.

edit: I've also been trying to play some of the earlier tactics rpg games first so that I'm not so spoiled by refined mechanics later on. That is why I just completed Warsong. I figure I need to get Master of Monsters on Genesis and Dark Wizard on Sega CD out of the way soon as well so I don't hate the old school style too much before I play them.

Arc II is a fair bit better than the first one imo but like I said it's really like Arc is barely it's own full length game.

I played Saiyuki a long time ago and don't remember much about it.

I could never really get into the NISA Disgaea clones that much. They aren't bad though, mostly more of the same.

Now, I have a wife and a 2 year old daughter, and didn't really get back into gaming again since I was a kid until a few years ago; so I have not played actually played many of the games yet (especially considering how long they are and how anal I am about beating games I start prior to starting a new game). Any suggestions for what should be my next go at things?

So far I've only gone through Warsong, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shining Force CD, Shining Force III, Fire Emblem (Advance), Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, Arc the Lad (from the collection), and Super Robot Wars: Original Generation. I was not a super huge fan of SRW: OG.

I wouldn't play the Japanese game. Even with how minimal a story is, I would want to know that I'm fighting for Jane, not for some Japanese character I can't understand. I really prefer Fighting Games in english just for the few sentences I can get out of the arcade mode. When I was a kid, I played Black Matrix Advanced on Dreamcast in Japanese because it looked neat at the one store in town that sold import games. I beat it... but never again.
Ghoost where would you rate SFIII in that lot or in the SF series? I havent played the others yet myself but do own them.

I just beat MN9, had a good time playing it, certainly worth the cheap price I paid for it. I can see why someone who kickstarted it for $50 or more would be pissed though. I was considering getting the plat, but those trophies are crazy. Maybe later.

I'm not ghoost but I'd put it behind 2 and SFCD. Ahead of the first game by a lot though.

I'm still working on Lego City. @64%, so much stuff to do. Feels like it's going to the be longest overall of the lego games if you 100%/plat it.
Does crash at random. Sometimes I notice things don't load that should be as I run around.

Think I'll play Cat Quest next.

Was planning to start the PS3 R&C games sometime and work up to the ps4 ones. Atleast a few of the ps3 ones don't have trophies so I won't have any urge to plat those.
