Got the plat for Late Shift, nice FMV game. Also beat Dear Esther twice, one time with the director comments activated.

I started playing Iron Crypticle with my brother and had a really good time. We knocked down like a half of the trophy list in 3 half playthroughs. Hopefully we will reach the latter bosses soon.

Didn't like how my right thumb kept hitting the item inventory menu more than a dozen times, no town map indicator while controlling the girl, which made it more confusing to navigate than necessary, but the onscreen touchscreen buttons were useful overall.

I think I had more fond memories of Ys Seven, and even the other PSP Ys games than Celceta and Lacrimosa.

Here's hoping Ys IX: Prison Life is any better.

I didn't play it on Vita so I can't speak to any of the Vita specific stuff you are talking about.
Based on what you guys are saying I highly recommend giving the fan translation of Nayuta No Kiseki a try. The dialog is a bit stiff in the beginning but what it lacks there it totally makes up for in gameplay. I'd say it was designed to be a Ys game, but just given a Kiseki title.

Right now I am mostly targeting PS1 and PS2 games but I have heard good things about that one before. Some day I'll play it, I hope.
