I had one root canal done, along with a porcelain crown. Didn't hurt nearly as much, once they put the numbing shots in. The bill was like $2300 without dental insurance. >_<
I had a root canal once and not nearly as bad as people would scare you into to believing.
I also had it done at a dental school to save money so it took longer.
Like you said once they numb you up you can sit there all day. Neck hurts a bit after.
This was in my early 20s when I would eat alot of sugar and skip brushing at night sometimes due to laziness. Ever since then I have had a very strong routine and no issues since.
Root canals aren't always caused by eating a lot of candy and skipping brushing. A lot of underlying illnesses could caused advanced tooth decay.

Ended up having a root canal, it's not that bad.

I haven't played much lately. I'm still on Fire Emblem Three Houses. It's going alright. Not sure if I would do more than one playthrough after I finish this one. Might have to wait a few months to a year, to get back into it.
