    Do your parents game?

My parents have a Wii (white gamecube compatible one) they got back in 2008, and haven't played it much, besides the pack-in Wii Sports. They only have one controller and that's the only game.

I guess Nintendo did a great job of informing them (and other casual gamers) of the popularity of the Wii.

They like Tetris, Harvest Moon, and Kirby's Dreamcourse. And, that's preddy much all they need in their lives, but, it'd be great to see some sort of new invention/release/ - re-release - of those classics just brought up to par. (lol) My guardians liked the Theme Games, though, like Sim City 2000 (I never got into it, but I caught them playing it on the computer, family computer - there's a difference - *Eyeroll.*) Theme Park, Theme Hospital (was my personal fav). My pa'rentals liked the fatalistic videogames, though, like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. (She was weird. lol) At school, a lot of growing up to do, we had a bunch of computer videogames like the Carmen Sandiego invention videogame where you would invent, make a car but you'd have to make sure it was aerodynamic (on a computer[?!]) or the chess videogame was my favorite because of the animations and how the queen would slay everyone digitally, or, it was just cool [-looking] to me. We had a singing videogame, but, it was always left unplugged. lol My personal, ultimate favorite was just Surf Sharks or what-ever- - you'd just, type, and it tells you statistics, like oh you typed this hecka fast - "good job!" Lemmings was cool.

If your definition is very loose then my mom would qualify.

^ I lived in Solitaire. Growing up, at least, if weird-gen doesn't/can't find a way to communicate with/ us. Preddy much, I'd find myself living such a heck-tic life with/ escuela (part-time) all the time, that I would literally find some way to play Solitaire to myself all the time, at least everyday, every night, just to keep sane. If I couldn't fit in Solitaire time during my day, I'd fix my schedule so I would be able to. I always thought America's schedule is too fast-paced but I think it's randomly more in the, uh, mid-section of Cali-for-nia. Do I make sense, ever? But, what I'm trying to say, apparently, is that I always tried to up my Solitaire gamesmanship.

    Never. Ever.

I saw my parents play Super Mario Brothers. That was ~25 years ago.

However, my mom was talking about how her friends or family had Atari back in the late-70's, and remembered a lot of the games that she played. This was after I told here recently that I collect vintage games, including the Atari 2600.

My Mom plays those casual games they market towards housewives and such.

My dad DID beat Yoshi's Island when i was young though (watched him do it). I don't think he ever played games after that though.

Not even my older brother plays, well at least anymore. He used to be into pc gaming, I remember him playing King's Quest, but he moved on to collecting books. There is a big gap between us though, and I am still playing games past the point he quit so I think I'll stick with it. But my parents, ha, no way, I don't think my dad would mind, he loves the same anime that I do, and he would probably like playing some games, but its just too much of a hassle for him to bother learning controls and the like at this point.

My parents played the NES when we got it back when I was a kid, never much after that until I got a Wii and brought it over. They and my grandma really enjoyed that, but never really wanted one so that was that. My Dad is more into firearms and my mom is more into genealogy.
