I have watched Baka and Test already but not Good Luck Girl. Right now I'm watching Saekano.

Looks wonky. If I see it for teh cheaps I'll have to pick it up.

Plot Summary: Tomoya Aki is an otaku who has a dream. His dream is to create the best visual novel game ever. The main heroine for this game and the inspiration for this dream is a background character named Megumi Kato who somehow stumbles into main character-esque traits in his eyes. To complete the game in time he has to call upon the aid of his anime loving professional friends who aren't so keen on the choice of his main heroine.

It's on Crunchyroll, that's how I'm watching it. The show is just full of tropes and making fun of them but it's been enjoyable so far.

Baka and Test was pretty funny, watched that a few years back on Netflix.

Over the weekend I knocked out a few OAVs that I've had in my collection for years but hadn't got around too.

Venus Wars - Decent war is bad mmkay movie.
Dominion Tank Police - Classic 80s OAV here, makes me want to pick up the sequel at some point. Just the right mix of anime wackiness but has interesting ideas at the core.
Elf Princess Rane - Complete nonsense. Ex: one character frequently talks backwards. Ymmv.
Cyber City Oedo - Still have the last episode to go (will watch tonight) but so far pretty good and each episode has been self contained in terms of plot arc. Pretty good action/sci-fi here that I would recommend, especially to anyone that likes cyberpunk style. From the early 90s but is MAXIMUM 80s.

Venus Wars - good animation. Crappy movie
Cyber City Oedo - I've had this sitting for years, I've not made it more than five minutes into it

Re Venus Wars: I mean I finished it. I don't generally have high expectations of anime though. I'd call it average for anime.

Cyber City Oedo if you don't mind watching cheesy action movies, essentially that's what it is in anime form. Not an anime to think about.

Dominion has a lot going for it with the Shirow designs and I always liked it. Oedo is yeah, pretty much like Kung Fury in the sheer amount of 80s it packs.

    Wasn't it made in 1991?
