So now they reprint? Waiting for the price to skyrocket enough?

I'm not sure why people are so skeptical of reprints. Game Quest Direct has been doing this since at least the PS2 and Gamecube era.
Smile Support Society. We play horror/retro games: Until Dawn Fatal Frame (Blind ghost killing us a bunch of times) Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water and Obscure: The Aftermath
I have no idea. Their site doesn't work, but did last year. It appears their Facebook and Amazon store are gone too. It seems these went offline around November or so.
Here's some addresses/phone numbers of their locations in California if anyone wants to do some detective work (all I know is that the top entry is definitely out of business . . . I believe they only had one physical location last I heard, but I have no idea which one it is/was . . . most of this info is pretty old and I couldn't find much else):
2800 North Main Street, Santa Ana, CA 92705, (714) 547-7438
20700 Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA 90746, (310) 329-5953
2044 Montebello Town Ctr, Montebello, CA 90640, (323) 721-1699
121 Carousel Mall, San Bernardino, CA 92401, (909) 381-9107
461-B Asuza Ave., City of Industry, CA 91748

Probably a lot, since his twitter states his job is managing Japanese Sega titles as a Producer for Atlus. However, he doesn't order reprints. Retailers have to order reprints. It doesn't sound like he handles that kind of stuff; simply getting the word out once he became aware (the reprints showed up to his desk this morning at work). That's the extent of what he said on Twitter about the reprints.
It sounds like any retailer who wants to put in whatever the minimum is for a reprint could probably get any OOP Sega game that can still be easily mass produced within reason (obviously not stuff with messy rights issues, games that weren't released previously in the same physical format and/or in the same territory, etc.).
I don't think you need connections . . . just retailer status and money. I doubt many retailers take advantage of this though. I imagine it's probably more tedious/involved than my observations and assumptions make it sound, but that information is not privy to us commoners.

Just saying that I find it hard to believe that anyone is coming up with an order for even the bare minimums of some of these games. To reprint something like Riviera or Growlanser for PSP would have been outright stupidity. Not to mention, Growlanser hasn't exactly been long OOP or even difficult to obtain. It's been $20 new on Amazon for years now. Or to even want to reprint a stinker like Crimson Gem Saga or the original Class of Heroes. I don't get it.
I guess it's possible that Atlus somehow did all of of these PSP games in one batch. And I don't think that it's exclusively VGP stock anymore, as we are seeing other retailers with these games now.
VGP isn't the only retailer that has these Yakuza's. Jadd Ent, another Canadian dealer is stocking and selling them through Amazon.ca:

Lol at some of the non-reprint prices. I wonder if I can fish for $2000 for some of my sealed PS2 games...
