What was your first Working Designs game and fondest memory?

My first one had to be Lunar Eternal Blue Complete PS1 (ironically played the Lunar games in the wrong order lol).

Great game! I loved the extras, just for being extras and packed in with the game! I then bought Lunar Silver Star Story Complete PS1, but didn't actually play the first Lunar until I got a JVC X'EYE last Spring (2012), and found a $20 complete copy of the original. Still holds up today! I even went on a nostalgia rush and played Lunar 2 Eternal Blue on that system as well!

How did you find a JVC X'Eye?

There's a lot of Sega CD compatible devices, JVC X-Eye wasnt even one of the neater ones. I always thought the boom box that played SCD games was neat.

Lunar SSS for SegaCD was my first one. Good game, was really disappointed though when the PS1 version threw out the huge world map from the original.

I was late into the party! Didn't even hear about WD or Lunar until XSEED did Lunar: SSH. After playing that, I picked up the Lunar 1 and 2 CEs (with punching puppet) off eBay and played through Lunar 2, so that's my first WD game. I also got the Arc the Lad collection off eBay as well, but haven't played it yet. Oh, and I forgot that I have Alundra as well. I still want to get some Saturn WD titles, and Vanguard Bandits and Elemental Gearbolt, but still pretty pricey, the last I checked...

Lunar: The Silver Star on Sega CD was my first WD game, too, and the game that got me into RPGs. I think my fondest memory was going to the mall to pick up Eternal Blue on Sega CD, which I was highly anticipating for nearly a year after playing the first game. I was one happy camper.

Amazon. They aren't as hard to find as a Sega CDX.

Mine would be Lunar II on PS1, I never actually owned or cleared the game but I sure did play the hell out of it when a friend of mine lent it to me :P I fell in love with the story and the great cut-scenes.
I rented Gungriffon Blaze when I first got my PS2, did not understand it at all (I was still young) but I enjoyed it! I love mechs! Not sure if I actually got to clear it O_O I just found it confusing.

And then there it was Growlancer Generations <3 I had eyed that game for so very long at my local EBs for so many years... until one day I finally got it :P It was glorious!

Growlanser Generations was a good one too! I still have the sales invoice from Working Designs (I have a habit of keeping some of them to remember how much I paid and I like the company header designs).

Mine was Alundra. I didn't get a Sega CD, and I missed getting a Sega Saturn. I ended up getting a PS1 because of new entries for several classic series, and I believe that I rented a little ole game known as Alundra or bought it. The strength of the jewelbox and the images on the back persuaded me that this looked like a game that I didn't want to miss. I ended up opening the case and inside was an excellent instruction manual along with the game and the game was so good. The RPG characteristics, the exploration, the puzzles, stepping into dreams, graphics, cutscenes, battle system. The fact that it felt like an excellent Zelda clone made it worth it. I didn't even know that it was localized by WD. I just knew that it felt like a very, very good game.

I ended up possibly buying it twice at two separate times. I know that I had no more PS1 games, bought a mini PS1 console and one of the two or three games that I purchased for it was Alundra again. That is how much it had meant to me.

Mine was also Lunar: SSS Complete - A friend bought it for me as a gift when I was younger and it became one of my favorite games in my collection. Sadly, my original copy got lost in a move along with many of my games and I've been trying to rebuild my collection. I also miss the Ghaleon puppet that came with the original game - I remember taking it to school to show it off. xD I was such a nerd.
