I finally finished Magic Knight Rayearth for the Saturn. Wanted to say Thank You for sticking with that game and releasing it. I really enjoyed it especially the ending. It might not be a Grandia or FFV7 in terms of depth but its the perfect game that no other company would have brought to any system at that time. Probably the best 2D graphics of the 32 bit era. Fun quirky anime action game for those that havent played it. The price is prohibitive but its fun. I love this release because it represents what WD was really about, bridging the East West gap. MKR may have seemed like an every day game in Japan, one that we would normally never see. As with all of your Saturn releases, its much appreciated.
Enh, I much preferred MKR over Grandia.

The Saturn was really great at doing superb 2D.

FF6 is the most well done, most in depth, most balanced, and better everything in the whole series. So you must mean that one instead of 7 ^__^
You know, I insist Square Enix must be punished to making games not bigger than 2 or 3 mb in size, so they're forced to be extremely limited, and rely on real quality of content instead of just gigs upon gigs of silly FMV and graphix. It's a shame they can't handle that power.

Do you think that would still be true if WD had been the ones to bring Grandia stateside?

Grandia definitely could have been localized a lot better. No though, I'm not a fan of the Grandia series in general.

I also preferred it to FF VII.

I prefer almost anything to FF7 so that wasn't even really worth mentioning by me.

Right, wasnt my point though. MKR is a light Action game, RPG term used loosely. Games like Grandia and FF7 were large full RPGs. People were a bit letdown by MKR because they may have expected something with the weight of those larger RPGs. But really when looked at for what it was, MKR was nice light anime fun.

Welcome indeed! And yes FF7 was...sadly I can't wait to play FF7 Remake's farking stupid plot.

Also. Grandia was amazing. Then again I have no idea what the story was about. I only ever played the Japanese Saturn version, with limited understanding of katakana, mainly using a few internet guides to get through it. Thanks to the expressive character models and chat avatars I was able to get a vibe for the characters emotions while making up my own story. WD would have done a better job, but I doubt it was better than the crazy plot that went through my teenage brain.

How the f*ck can anyone stand to play a text-heavy game they can only barely comprehend?
