Makes sense. PS1 had a much bigger user base than turbo, SCD or Saturn by probably quite a bit. I'd guess that the turbo numbers in particular really bring that average down, and of course MKR and Popful Mail.

I suspect that a lot of old WD fans don't know that Gaijinworks exists yet. Or else they don't know that you've been releasing games or have these forums set up.
For the longest time, I'd check this site. Never saw anything. Then I saw that you had the forums up a year ago and that CoH2 pre-orders were being offered after I'd missed the Kickstarter. Sorta like you popped up out of nowhere. I know that you'd been working on the PSN releases and some other projects, like the Sunsoft stuff, but it was pretty painful waiting for the website to have something other than the logo for ~7-8 years.

Probably has been said before in some thread, but is there any game you guys brought over that you had second thoughts or wished you had not, after it was released?
There are none I wished I had never done, but some had issues:
Vay was at the bottom edge of my acceptable threshold, but it was a "relationship license" that got us Popful Mail, Iron Storm, Dragon Force, etc. A very good choice, in hindsight.
Vanguard Bandits I actually turned down initially because they wanted too much money, and it was just an *okay* game. They dropped their fees and we overhauled key bits of the game and the end result turned out very nice. One of the best pure strategy games on PS1.
Vasteel was a great game, but the intermissions had hours and hours of soul-suckingly dry exposition. It was a serious chore to get through the recording. There is a hidden outtake cutscene where one of the dudes talks to the other about a date and snuggling after work. I don't think anyone's found it.
VB is one of those games that looks average at best, until you play it. I had a lot of fun with the game and it's one of my favorite strategy games on the system. When you get really good at holing up your characters and making use of the terrain to gang up on opponents, it's an absolute blast to play.
Any hints on this one? This is the first I've heard of this.Vasteel was a great game, but the intermissions had hours and hours of soul-suckingly dry exposition. Adding the surround mechanic really helped amp up the strategy of the game. The surround plus terrain bonus stacking really make the game sing for a player with some experience.
It's a key combination, I *think* on the second player pad. I honestly need to dig out the notes on it, wherever they are.
