Victor, one thing I've always wondered is what inspired tagging "Complete" at the end of Lunar:SSS? I get why the Japanese did it for the MPEG Saturn port but the PlayStation version didn't originally have that in the title and it's not like we got a separate version of the remake that needed to be differentiated from (and the "Silver Star Story" part itself distinguishes it from the Sega CD). Were you planning to work on the Saturn version and the title was carried over? Was it just because it sounded cool?

One day I'll dig out the first Tomba plush prototype we got from China and put it next to the final one from a different vendor. That side by side would sum up the China gamble in one picture. The first one is HILARIOUSLY bad.

I do think the Chinese are more aware of Western quality standards nowadays though, and it does seem that more and more Chinese want the real deal too (and have the money to pay for it). So I'm assuming that their output generally speaking has improved a lot over the Tomba plush days.

Hehe, what, in the last 2 years? We made the Tomba plush to promote the PSN re-release in 2013. It wasn't that long ago. The quality of Chinese manufacturers is still wildly uneven across the country.

Oh, right, I thought that plush was from back in the 90s.

Well, that's pretty poor then if they still haven't got their stuff together.
