Thread: What Are You Currently Playing?

    What Are You Currently Playing?

I always find it fun to hear what other people are playing because it is a great way to learn about new games that I might have overlooked otherwise, or to simply bond over similar experiences.

I just finished SMT: Soul Hackers (which was strangely the easiest SMT game I've ever played) and it made me nostalgic for classic Sega rpgs of old, so now I'm playing Lunar: Eternal Blue, which is one of my all time favorite Working Designs product. I sat down and went through all the collectables again and felt all giddy and nostalgic. I have my hardback Working Designs strategy guide that I'm using for it because I don't completely remember all the map layouts.

So what is everyone else playing?

I'm sorry, I was going through other threads and just realized that there was already a currently playing thread.

Could a moderator combine this one with the previous one?

I am playing the casual breakout game called Action Ball Deluxe from Alawar software and just completed level 40. It is decent and has plenty of powerups, it is also sort of fast-paced but there is very little variety in the stages and the bosses. I haven't played many of the Arkanoid/Breakout clones on the Internet, but out of the ones I played I don't think that I would easily recommend it. It is fun though.

Soul Hackers gets better, but overall the plot is a bit tepid. It is a Sega Saturn game, so there is nothing revolutionary about it and it is rather short. I still really enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as other RPGs I've play this year. I only got about halfway through Trails of the Skies - I became OCD about doing all the quests when I found out you could transfer your data to the next game. I still need to go back and finish it, but I feel like I would have to re-start the game to fully immerse myself in the plot again.

Maybe we could just start a new one?

Halo 4 and what I now consider a sleeper in Venetica. The game is a little buggy, but I love it so far! Also playing Fire Emblem and FF Theaterythem every now and again

Playing Hyperdimension Neptunia V here. Enjoying every bit of it as well as it is much, much better than part 1 or 2.

Fire Emblem: Awakening (on my third playthrough out of four planned) aaaaaaand....Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. >>; Looking forward to Rune Factory 4 from XSeed, especially the better localization.

Is Rune Factory any good? They've rereleased it on like every console, but it just never looked that interesting to me.
