PoPoLoCrois Farm Story (3DS June in Japan!) Anyone play the PSP RPG?

Seems like the 3DS is getting a lot of these farm simulation games. Anyone play the PSP RPG? I think it was my first (or second!) game on the system. First being Patapon. It was pretty good, but I never quite finished it. Had a mix of strategy and turn-based RPG battles.

I finished it but I didn't think it was very memorable. I doubt I'll every play another game in the series.

I bought the PSP game but I never got around to playing it, yet. Supposedly the story gets good towards the end but I can't vouch for it. In Japan there are apparently many games in the series and the PSP game is an inferior remake to one or two of them IIRC.

Farm simulation gameplay is a big turn-off in RPGs for me. It just feels like the games are wasting my time. Sadly this reduces the amount of interesting 3DS JRPGs by half for me.

I believe in Japan it was a remake of the PS1 versions that cut out a lot of content.

I got to the very end of the PSP game. It is apparently 2 of the PSX games put together and somewhat gutted. It was one of the only rpgs early on and it was decent. PSX games are supposed to be a ton better.

Yea, I finished the PSP game. Still got it here. I enjoyed it, and yes, it was a cut down version of three ps1 games.... pasted together to make a still relatively short (and very easy) psp game... I think it didn't take me much more than 20 hours to get through, and I was an rpg rookie when I played it... I did enjoy it though, even if it was a bit frustrating to play (I don't know if it made use of the extra memory in the later psp's, but with the 1000 it would only store a few of the moves in ram and there'd be a jarring pause to load in any new ones, or reload old ones when it had needed to clear memory for something else)

Here's some music from the series anime if anyone's interested - other great VG-related music is also on Wyrdwad's account (for those who recognize the screenname):

Looks alright. I just hope that farming is something minor in the game but the title "Farm Story" doesn't really reassure me.
