Well, here goes. A bunch of these are pretty commonly seen in a favorites list (as far as RPGs go anyway), but some... not so much. My favorite 20 games of all time. And yes, that is a Game Gear game you see in there. I was young, it was my first personally purchased console... and I STILL have the various bits of music from it stuck in my head, over 20 years later.

    Suikoden 2 (PSX)
    Phantasy Star IV (Gen)
    Mega Man Legends 2 (PSX)
    Wing Commander (PC)
    Civilization 4 (PC)
    Dragon Force (Saturn)
    Mega Man V (GB)
    Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver (DS)
    Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS)
    Breath of Fire 2 (SNES/GBA)
    Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA)
    Tales of Symphonia (GC)
    Monster Rancher 4 (PS2)
    Suikoden 5 (PS2)
    Persona 4 Golden (Vita)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U)
Shining Force 2: The Sword of Hajya (Game Gear)
    Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)
    SMT: Nocturne (PS2)
    Lunar: SSSC (PSX)

    Favorite Games:

Alundra(PS1), Xenogears(PS1), Super Mario Brothers 3(All-Stars Edition SNES), Final Fantasy VI(SNES), Final Fantasy VII(PS1), Breath of Fire II(SNES), Suikoden II(PS1), it's hard to choose between Mega Man games but, um, Mega Man III(Wily Wars Edition Genesis), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past(SNES), Shining Force II(Genesis), Chaos World(Famicom), Kirby Super Star(SNES), maybe Klonoa(PS1).

There are probably more, but these are all great games that I can think of.

Mr. Bones was good, Soul Blazer was a favorite of mine and I have beaten it probably no less than 4 times. Ooga Booga was a really solid dreamcast game, got a lot of enjoyment out of it, and honestly I had almost forgotten about monster party that game was amazeballs.

As far as favorite games top 5 is in order, rest isn't.
    1. Chrono Trigger
    2. FFVII
    3. FFVI
    4. Lunar SSSC
    5. Suikoden 1 and 2
    Dragon Force
    Tales of Symphonia
    Mass Effect
    Kotor 1 and 2
Zelda A link to the Past
    Shining force 1-3
    Warsong(langrisser)
    Gemfire

I'll sort of help with the introductions of two of these,

I've played Monster Party and Soul Blazer, both quite good games and recommended. Monster Party isn't too hard, except for the second to last world which irritated me with all of those mirror doors, can be humorous and sort of feels like a boss rush through a gallery of amusing and interesting bosses. The one where you don't do anything, actually adds a little bit of spice to the game.

Soul Blazer, how I love it so. I just recently beat the game. It began the Heaven and Earth saga which continued with Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma(which never saw a NA release) and Granstream Saga(a PS1 game that many people forget is included in it. Possibly because it wasn't a SNES game and had a different feel about it) and I want to pray to the RPG Gods to make it continue today. It's a simple Action-RPG which can be a little bit easy if you level up four times in each world, even though the water boss can be quite nasty. The wonderful thing about the game, besides how unique the music and graphics are, is that you end up repopulating worlds by freeing people trapped in these monster portals. These can lead to upgrades to your character, progress in the game, or anything else. Soul Blazer is just one of those games that you wish would be cloned a lot more often, because it is just that good.
