Saw your post in the other thread. For games there are a good number of options now. All the "age" sites (nintendo age is the biggest I think), gametz, amazon (of course, but fees and now it's much harder to sell dvds there as an independent smaller seller), and then all kinds of smaller forums. Some are more specific but if you have games to sell you can get them sold off ebay at decent rates. I've found generally at worst you can get 80% of Ebay sold prices easily/quickly for good stuff which isn't that much different as a seller and is nice for the buyer.

As someone who sells a fair bit on Ebay (not as much as you did, because I try to avoid it when possible) I am curious. How many bad transactions? How many cases were opened? What was the full story behind it?

Yeah I have close to 400 feedback from 2001, and have sold a fair bit and haven't gotten into any lasting trouble (except trying to sell Windows Vista CDs that apparently you couldn't do)

Can't use Amazon either. Story behind it? Got hooked to World of Warcraft and my shipment time slipped quite a bit over the course of probably a few months. Would love suggestions to alternatives. I have the lunchbox version of Neptunia for example and currently on a site called "ebid" even though it's listed at $39.99 free shipping can't even sell it. Lowest price on amazon is $80. I feel like I can't sell anything unless it's like such a steal like 25% market value. Like the 5 copies of Harvest Moon Hero of Leaf Valley for $30 each. I went through with the sale but I would rather keep things forever than be ripped off again. Even though I imported my ebay feedback and have dozens of actual ebid feedback too. all 100% positive.

it's been too long ago. I don't even know if it was from just increased negative feedback or cases. I admit my performance was slipping. When I asked them why when it first happened they said to refer to the e-mail but like I said it's been so long, I've just sort of "accepted it". I've begged and pleaded a handful of times throughout the years and I usually get "we can't trust you". . "It's exceedingly rare (we reinstate priveledges), or "I certainly wish you well.". Now I just need to find a place to get rid of the leftovers I have at alteast a fair price. Here is the profile.

I tried to argue at the time I still had a lifetime feedback rating of 99.7%. But they have been stubborn and unspecific in their cruelty.

Sorry if it seemed like I was prying too much, I really was wondering to get an idea in case I ever had something happen.

    Anyway, I'd try Nintendo Age and/or GTZ. http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/categories.cfm?catid=6 gametz.com

Fair warning that even when selling on GTZ you are generally expected to send first as a new seller. The downside to forum sites like these is there is no actual protection. I have been ripped off once in 194 transactions on TZ and that was a long time ago and I've been a lot more cautious since. As far as values it depends on the item. You can get close to 100% on some stuff while some stuff is pretty undesirable. Except for a few seedy types (who should be ignored) you should never have to offer what I would consider a sweet deal. 70-80% of typical sold prices on Ebay should get almost anything sold.

don't worry about it. It's good to get it off my chest any way. It kinda sucks because on one hand I would like to recollect at least the PS2 and PSX games I sold. And I'm picky about condition. Ebay is the best place to watch for collector's selling at good deals. I got King's Field II perfect untouched for $25 including shipping there. But at the same time, I'd like to just be able to get a moral victory over them and just say **** you, and never give them business again. I'm leaning toward selling what I have and just keep the games I've bought locally brand new. Or I could just forget about it all together and just buy only the absolute best of the best games that come out. That way I know I'm not wasting tons of money on games and won't want to get rid of them.
